Alex Dupree and The Trapdoor Band

September 13, 2007

If you’re looking for some good folk-pop, then look no further; Alex Dupree and The Trapdoor Band offer a string of beautiful, well-crafted folk tunes that blends politics with poetry against a musical landscape that include banjos, acoustic guitars, fiddles and more.

Hailing from Austin, Texas, the band has just released their second full-length album, Las Meridanzas. All tracks posted here are from that record, except for “The Revolution Choir” which was recorded for the People Not Profit benefit compilation, and “Sarah Is Rising”, which is from their self-titled album released in 2005.
